Megan Burton was an obnoxiously inquisitive child. Just ask her
mother, who was known for setting the kitchen timer to ensure her self some
quite time from the infamous and everlasting questions of “why?” and “why not?”
Today, those questions sound a little different, partly as a result of toning
down her southern accent, but mainly as she applies it to digging into the
heart of a brand and its consumers.
Born in the Texas Panhandle and – due to the migrant nature of a
high school football coach's family – she grew up in many small Texas towns.
Megan landed at the University of Dallas to study Business Leadership and
Marketing and play collegiate volleyball for the Crusaders.
It was at UD where she became interested in consumer behavior and its
effects on the creative and tactical aspects of marketing and the impact it has
on a brand. An internship with OFB allowed for Megan’s curiosity a place to play
while helping out the brand strategy team.
After more 'corporate' experience in market research, Megan returns
to OFB. Her job includes acting as the investigative backbone of consumer and competitive
research while guiding clients through OFB’s branding programs and utilizing
OFB’s creative resources to develop a brand strategy.
When Megan isn't
working, she enjoys playing and coaching volleyball, learning to play golf with her husband, spending time with
family and friends, working out, road trips, and playing with her basset hound, Humphrey.
