New Spirit for a Proven Brand.
Monitronics is the largest independently owned security company in the U.S. and is the industry leader in interactive audio verification monitoring.
We were approached by their marketing department on a Sunday, yes a Sunday!!! and the sad thing is we answered the call. Next thing you know we are learning everything we can about the security industry and about Monitronics culture. Our entire strategy team actually camped out at the Monitonics corporate office for one work week to immerse ourselves in the Moni culture and lead the Moni marketing team and executives thru comprehensive branding exercises.
We felt that what was most needed for this brand was a dose of enthusiasm, a clarified brand message, new brand rituals, and a fresh personality. So we started by designing a new logo and forging a campaign aimed at attracting the best dealers in the nation. The focus of the campaign was on how the dealers lifestyle's would improve by switching to Moni. At the same time we made recommendations for improving office culture thru interior improvements, a cafe, and inter department social events.
New Brand Tagline: Better business. Better life.
Design Birth Place: The design for the Monitonics brand identity was created in the OFB West studio, seat #7, Design Warrior with vintage Dan Post boots and a excellent fauxhawk. The idea for the campaign idea came from strategists who was apparently day dreaming about what they would rather be doing other than coming up with ideas for this campaign? Fishing.
